Sepah Square was the center of Tehran, where most of the bus routes to all city corners originated. Many government ministries and banks had their headquarters in or around the Square (many still do).
Today: Most obviously, no sign of Tehran's (in)famous double-decker buses anymore; the Square still dispatches buses to all over the city; on the right (southern) side is now located the Ministry of Communications building, built in mid 70s; on the left (nicknamed "Behind the Municipality") all sorts of new and used electronic devices and components can be found; The old-style yellow building on the far side is still there, hosting a bank, but there is a new wide street to the far-side's right connecting Sa'adi Ave. with Nasser Khosrow Street.
