TEHRAN in 1960s

Elizabeth Boulevard was one of the in-town natural recreational districts, sporting a mid-street creek and vegetation with benches offering friends and couples a rest stop with icecream boys and hickory corn grillers nearby.

Today: The creek and the grass are still there more or less; no time however for a seat amid the crazy daily schedule, let alone the noisy, smoggy and nasty traffic. The park at the other end of the street is still a place to sit and watch the water fountains, or to take part in early-morning large-group exercises.
